My name is Winslow Vail Brokaw. I hold a B.A. in International Studies and Education from Middlebury College, with additional study at La Universidad de Playa Ancha in Valparaíso, Chile. For over 15 years, I have worked with children and families across the United States, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Chile, Canada, India, Honduras, and Cuba.
I have trained for 18 years with Aleya Dao, energy practitioner, author, and founder of Seven Cups of Consciousness, and I am a Certified Practitioner of that work. This training teaches integrated concepts and tools to build greater clarity, strength, joy, ease, and personal fulfillment.
I have trained for nine years with Doug Noll, award-winning author, mediator, and expert in deep, empathic listening, studying de-escalation and emotional competency. I am a Certified Practitioner in this work. This training centers on emotional validation through affect labeling, the practice of accurately naming emotions, which research shows helps the brain become less reactive and more capable of clear thinking and self-regulation.
I speak English and Spanish, and I have been running my own business teaching these tools to parents and children for seven years.
My approach is shaped by both this global experience and my own early education. I attended a Waldorf school from Kindergarten through 8th grade, where creativity, imagination, and connection to nature were at the heart of learning. Together, these experiences led me to create a platform for teaching powerful tools for self-love, inner calm, and emotional competence.
